April
2nd – 3rd April : Cornwall Spring Flower Show , organised by Cornwall Garden Society, will be held at Boconnoc, near Lostwithiel.
4th-8th April : Boscastle walking Week The Walking Week will be from Monday 4th to Friday 8th April this year. Those arriving on Sunday 3rd April will be able to book the welcome evening carvery at the Cobweb Inn. Walking in Cornwal l by some the very best of Britain’s coastline. Wonderful walks through woods and by streams, it’s all on offer during Boscastle’s increasingly popular Walking Week.
30th April 2011 - Trevithick Day – Camborne is an annual celebration of the heritage and mining heritage of the area, -. The Bal Maidens & Miners Dance takes place at 10.15am.

May
12th to 21st May. Daphne du Maurier Festival. Celebrating Dame Daphne du Maurier who lived and wrote in the area, this Festival is a sparkling mix of star names, guided walks, talks, drama, community events and free entertainment. Keep an eye on www.dumaurierfestival.co.uk for more information.

29th April to 2nd May 2011 : Divefest. Pentewan, St Austell. Building on the success of last years event and once again taking place at Pentewan Sands Holiday Park on April 29th to May 2nd 2011, this promises to be the UK’s biggest diving event of the year.

2nd May: Padstow May Day. The first day of May is Obby Oss day in Padstow. The origins of this traditional celebration are lost in the midst of time but it is thought to celebrate the arrival of Spring and it may even be an ancient fertility festival.

14th to 15th May: The battle of Stratton Commemoration Weekend. Bude. The battle re-enactment is quite a spectacle and gives a real idea of with what raw violence 17th Century, or for that matter any hand-to-hand combat was conducted before the advent of push-button warfare21st to 22

May 2011 Blue Chip Zapcat Powerboat Grand Prix Championship. Fistral, Newquay. Check out the only leg of the Zapcat circuit that takes place on a surfing beach and witness these super-powered, twin-hulled catamarans leap and twist out of the water. A great family spectacle!

27th to 30th May 2011: Run to the Sun Festival. Porth, Newquay.
Run to the Sun has grown into one of the largest Custom Car, VW and dance festivals in Europe.

28th to 30th May 2011 : Launceston Steam and Vintage Rally. Altarnum, Launceston. Launceston Steam & Vintage Engine Rally is traditionally held every year over the Spring Bank Holiday.

June
3rd to 5th June 2011 : Looe Lugger Regatta. Looe.
Once again Looe will be filled with classic fishing boats over the weekend of the 3 - 5 June. Arriving in the days leading up to the event, the craft will race in the bay(weather permitting) on both the Saturday and Sunday.
4th Jun 2011 Azores and Back yacht Race. Pendennis Castle, Carrick. 10th Azores & Back yacht race - the largest ocean race to leave Great Britain in 2011.
Celebrity start at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth at 1pm on June 4th, 100 yachts from across 10 European countries competing.
9th to 11th June 2011 : Royal Cornwall Show. Wadebridge. A top agricultural show, the Royal Cornwall Show is the county’s biggest annual event and is full of exhibits and activities which offer so much in the way of entertainment, competition, information, shopping and all that’s best in food and farming.

July 11th : Stithians Show
21st to 24th July : Port Eliot Festival. One of the UK’s most original, magical, bohemian, colourful, musical & comic festivals returns in 2011… Pitch your tent in the stunning fairytale grounds of the ancient Port Eliot estate in Cornwall, cast aside all inhibition and explore!

30th July to 5th August : Charlestown Regatta Festival. Charlestown Regatta Week includes watersports, games and entertainment. The events raise funds for the people of the village of Charlestown, including the provision of children's equipment in the Regatta Playing Field.

August
10th to 14th August : The Relentless Boardmasters. The Relentless Boardmasters returns to Newquay for its 30th Anniversary from 10-14th August 2011. The event, Cornwall’s only surf, skate and music festival will run a week later than previous years and features some major changes across the schedule.

26th to 29th August : Wadebridge Folk Festival. A family friendly festival set in the market town of Wadebridge. The Festival began over 37 years ago and draws in crowds of folk musicians, singers, dancers and fans from all over the world.

September
8th to 11th September: Heritage Open Days. Heritage Open Days celebrates England's fantastic architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.
10th to 24th September – St Ives Festival
Live music, live theatre, dance, art, talks, poetry, comedy & cinema crammed into a 15 day action-packed festival. We have artists from all over the world attending, some familiar to the festival and some here for the first time.
23rd to 25th September : Cornwall Food and Drink Festival. Three days of action-packed foodie fun for everyone. Come and taste for yourself why Cornwall has one of the finest reputations for food and drink in the whole of the UK.

October
21st to 22nd October. Falmouth Beer Festival. Come along and experience a broad range of 150 local and national ales. Plus: Real Lagers, Real Ciders & Perries. With hot & cold food, live entertainment, pub games and free soft drinks for drivers. Token system for purchases.
November

18th to 20th November: Trereife Christmas Gift Fair. Newlyn, Penzance. Trereife Christmas Fair starts off with a Sky Lantern fundraiser for BBC Children In Need. The park and house will be lit up by the Newlyn Harbour lights, creating a magical atmosphere. Enjoy lots of entertainment, food and mulled wine.

December

2nd December to 4th December Padstow Christmas Festival. It’s during December that Padstow is at its most magical. Promising an array of seasonal treats including Christmas lights and decorations, Santa’s grotto, fireworks, seasonal food, festive demonstrations and late night shopping.
16th to 21st December : Montol Festival. Penzance. The Montol Festival is a 6-day arts and community festival based on the Cornish Christmas and Midwinter traditions of the past, culminating in Montol Eve on the 21st of December.
